A good presentation. I liked the idea of your mobile robot as I have been tinkering with this type of control for a while now, but without too much success. I think I will have to have another go.

Very cool use of gesture control instead of the typical "joystick" setup that most small robots use! Best of luck with the contest!

Nice one, what I figured out from the video is,

raw A&G values are used to control the servos, similar to wired IMU controller projects. Have you tried to use the DMP feature of MPU unit. You can also try to control the bot through IMU compensated Vision Intelligence, and use a wireless link like WiFi instead of wired connection.
