I am developing, with the upcoming help of experienced engineers and coders, an extruder that will help to revolutionise 3D printing, providing full colour, high resolution and fast speeds in printing, while at a cheap price (<$300)

Since the road for the 3D industry is blocked by large companies such as 3D Systems, our aim is to find workarounds these patents, while remaining safe, with advice from legal consultants.

The solder gauntlet would indeed prove extremely useful in the prototyping process since we will be doing a lot of electronic prototyping (we are making our own electric boards).

In the near future, I hope to post further threads on these forums about this product.

Not only is the world of manufacturing helped, but several medical fields will thrive as a result. Take, as an example, the 50,000 amputees in Sudan, many of whom require prosthetic limbs and arms. Project Danial, by Not Impossible, helped enlighten one boy's dream to have a partly functional arm one day. But he should not be the only one. If our ideas our successful, we will push forward in the biomedical 3D printing field, helping and potentially saving lives.

Please do help make this project a reality.

My Son and I watch your videos before he goes to sleep every night. His name is Max and he is nine years old. He is so excited by all of the projects you create that Friday morninghis favorite time of the week because you publish new videos. We built a raspberry pi mame handheld game based on your hand held pi mame project. We watched your video more than 60 times before he could convince me that he was capable of doing it. He did all of the electronics including desoldering components. You have inspired him to do amazing things. Just before Maker fair this year Max told me that he called you and talked to you on the phone. I have asked him never to do that again but if you are interested I can tell you how he got your number. I apologize for that invasion but iti is exemplary of how much you have influenced him.

A Few weeks later I took him to Maker Faire 2014 in NY city and he spent the first several hours scanning the crowd for Ben Heck. On several occasions he was convinced he saw you and ran off into the crowd to say hello to you. There were a couple of panic stricken moments when I really thought I lost him. Thankfully I found him each time. I assume you were not there because he would have found you if you were there. I Am writing in hopes of winning the texting radios so that we can take them to maker faire next year and use them in case we get separated. It would be the next best thing to meeting you in person and a lot less humiliating than having to wear a leash.

THank you for all you do. You have given Max and I the foundation for literally hundreds of hours of quality time together and have helped Max develop an understanding of electronics that are well beyond his years.

I Would use the cellphone because i don't have a cellphone and can't afford to buy one. Also i would try making it with a pitft and a raspberry pi to make a smartphone of somesor. And if i coulf i would make one myself that would be cheap and could be used by people in need or homeless people. I live in a farmers land and having a phone on myatv would be awsome. I know it would maby be weird seeing someone with a goofy looking phone but i wouldnt be sad of having it considerig that i would and will use it as a regular phone if i win it. And my 2 nd choice would be the saldering fingers cause i like gadjety stuff. Ime in grade 8 and the only one into electronics seriously into electronics ;-)

I like the DIY Cell Phone project very much. I already moved from a Samsung S4 to a 6 years old Sony Ericsson Walkman Edition [View:/resized-image/__size/16x16/__key/commentfiles/f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07-1cc77bec-cdbb-47be-aeb9-6e0a4b3adbb5/0675.contentimage_5F00_403.png:16:16], and .. I love it! Now this simplify phone will match my personal trend: 'less is more'. I like to increase the battery time even more, so 2 weeks without recharging will be my first goal.

I like to test this phone, and use it as my main phone instead of using the latest newest high-end smartphone with motion, position sensors, GPS, accelerometers, gyroscope, electronic compass, pressure sensor, CMOS image sensor, proximity sensor, ALS, ...

I would use the texting radios for some of my projects with the raspberry pi. I would also try customise the radios.

I would use the solder gauntlets to demonstrate the usefulness of on hand hardware, which shows the need for human digitization, and it would also make my soldering experience, for many new projects im working on, much smoother and cooler

The Ben Heck Show is awesome. Anything that Ben has made would be an honor for any fan to own! Of these six the Texting Radios and the Wearable Solder Gauntlets are my favorite... and of these two, it would be the Solder Gauntlets hands down. I do a lot of projects that require soldering and the gauntlets would be a great assistant!

These would all be amazing to own but i would really enjoy the robot arms, and more specifically the Intel Galileo. I am a programming student for Java and an a few months I will be learning C++. i have been looking into getting a bit more into the physical world for what i am programming, this controller board looks like a great place to start for a novice like me. I've been looking into doing some electrical work possibly with conductive paint with some help of a family friend who is a robotics professor who was inspired by my late grandfather to do something with the technological world.and i'm sure it would put a smile on his face to see my interests.

As for the actual bots them make some nice trophies until i get motors to have them fight another day.

I have worked in the cell phone industry for years and have done my own diy projects since i was a child but never figured mixing the two things i know and love together. I would absolutely love to get my hands on the diy cellphone and learn more about what i love and teach my kids all about how these great little contraptions work we all love your show and both my kids love their raspberry pi's thanks to you

I would love to get to try the soldering gauntlets. The concept is so brilliant and while it looks like it's going to take some time to get used to it, I'd be more than happy to replace my current rather crappy soldering iron which had led me to much frustration already. Working with the gloves on the local repair café meetings would have quite some style, feeling like a solder-iron-superhero. Gentlemen, we can rebuild him, we have the technology, we have the capability to make the first soldering man,, BETTER, STRONGER, FASTER.
