NOTE: As a correct answer has been received and marked, I will not be following up on further responses. Once I've measured and modeled the connector I'll happily share the drawing file here.
Hi all,
I have a personal project that needs to interface with a port that uses a physical configuration that is believed to be proprietary. To provide a stable interface with the port, I would like to prototype a male connector but I don't think I'll be able to directly measure some of the dimensions of the existing female connector because of the scale and unique configuration. Does anyone have experience with using a temporarily malleable material to create a form of a female connector so that measurements can be taken of the negative mold of the connector? Any suggestions on what materials or products might be helpful for this purpose?
Thanks, community!
