I tried running xubuntu on the emmc with it . it was fantastic way better then windows 10 for 32gb emmc more room with xubuntu but had problems installing Windows 10 to the USB drive I use Windows for things I may need a higher version of flash or steam rest of my time is in Linux

This model 3452 had 2 different styles one come s with a sata hard drive one has a emmc 32gb sandisk I got the model with Emmc, there is a solder point on it for 12pin adapter. like in photo I can buy the sata and ribbon cable pretty cheap to use a drive

I have a Seagate 1tb external usb3 drive but would rather it be protected in the laptops biggest thing is that part is mostly plastic, it would melt using my iron anyone have a solder video on something close to that I run window 10 from emmc and xubuntu 14.04.5 on 128gb of the portable drive rest of the drive space is for games and storage

I would keep it simple: add a portable USB drive that you could carry around in the same carrying case as your notebook computer.

Which O/S are you running?
