This way I can disconnect them prior to the threat of nearby lightning strikes. So in this episode, we combine a tank circuit, an AS3935 lightning detector IC, and an Arduino nano to create a standalone lightning notification device. If you intend to use the AS3935, you may be interested in my difficulties in using I2C over SPI, and how I was able to test the unit by simulating lightning strikes.&lt;/p&gt;
