Nice find!

I believe a lot of office machines were really well made, they were pricey and often with rental or maintenance contracts, so calling out a repair guy was undesirable!

The IF-60 interface appears to have been used on at least two other typewriter models, the Brother Pro 440 and the the Brother AX-20.

If you can find documentation for either of these models then it could help.

thank you very much for this blog post, it is very interesting to see the inner workings, If I would come across a similar typewriter now , i be much more confident in using it for a project!
