It’s a place where people go to find out about new products, ask questions (and get answers) and see what other engineers have created. Why is element14 doing this? In our ongoing effort to be the place with to go for the best electronics content, we have launched the element14 Video Content Partner Program. We’re interested in supporting engineers who create interesting projects, who teach the skills they’ve learned along the way, and who like to do that in entertaining videos. What Types of Compensation or Support are Available? That depends on what you need! If we like your idea and decide to work together, we can offer you: Components from our ecommerce partners Cash for your completed video published on element14 Access to our video team of camera operators and editors for assistance on creating high quality videos That's just the starting list -- we can offer support beyond this as well. Tell us your ideas and how we can help support you! What if I already have a YouTube Channel? Wonderful! We'd like your YouTube Channel to continue to flourish and grow. There are a variety of ways that we can work together to support you and your efforts to create content. On the Community, our Video Content Partners will have an informational page, link to other videos from their YouTube Channel (your videos will still get the “views” credit on YouTube) and links to your channel or other online destinations featuring your work. When your video launches we will support it with Social Media and paid advertising to ensure it gets the attention it deserves. How Do I Get Started as a Video Content Partner (VCP)? Complete this Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) , sign it, scan it and email it to tbhs@element14.com. Why an NDA? What type of information is likely to be disclosed or discussed that requires the NDA? element14 considers the very nature of our Video Content Program to be a strategic differentiator in the electronics industry. One of the things that the NDA covers is how the VCP program works. The NDA would also cover things like new product introductions. If we asked you to do a video on a product before it’s commercially released, we would be giving you that product and information in confidence. Will matters considered confidential be explicitly labeled as such, or do I need to assume anything discussed from the point of signing as confidential? Assume everything is confidential unless it’s already in the public domain. Uncertain? Just ask. Have more questions? Please add them in the comments below.

Derek, I ran across your multiline telephone Intercom looking for something similar as I have a big home built in 1912. As is the custom in many of older homes whenever people wanted a new phone jack they just tapped into an existing run to connect to tip and ring rather than running back to a central hub where all the lines from the rooms met. Unless I'm mistaken your schematic only works if each room comes back to where the relays are. My dad gave me a small set of screwdrivers when I was in elementary school; I would love to open each toy car I could find, modding them by adding additional batteries using scotch tape and pieces of wire I had found. During high school, back in 2015, I got my first Arduino which additionally sparked my interest in electronics and robotics. After that, I started my studies in electrical engineering while trying to do as many projects as I could along the way, anything from drones, rovers and so on. I was already working with electronics as a child before I made it my profession at a later age. I did my higher education (BEng., Ing.) at Hogeschool Dirksen in Arnhem where I graduated in Embedded Systems. As a teenager, I messed around with analog electronics and HAM radio’s, building receivers and doing TV repairs to pay for my hobby. After graduation, I worked as a TV repairman but not very long after that, I ended up in my current job as an Electronics Engineer. Along the way, I wrote a book about designing embedded systems, Embedded Systems Design - The Engineer's Toolbox During the first pandemic, back in 2020, I looked for ways to keep myself educated and up-to-date in electronics. I learned that ‘The Youtube Academy’ holds a treasure of knowledge for whoever is willing to watch. I found it to be a good reason to start my own channel on Youtube and my first release was a video about an amazing Spectrum Analyzer that was reasonably big in size as it was made with acrylic tiles. During the next two years, I published more video’s about spectrum analyzers and the best part is that all of them are open source. Mark Donners' Social Channels Mark Donners site Follow Mark Donners on: My Favorite Videos: Audio spectrum analyzer with acrylic tiles - I built an audio spectrum analyzer along with the housing, PCB, and an increased functionality Arduino Sketch. The original unit is 1m wide and later redesigned to 40cm wide. All my projects are open source with over 100 people replicating this project. 64 channel spectrum analyzer - Using the HUB75 displays as a spectrum analyzer that can show from 8 to 64 channels. The challenge is writing the Arduino code and figuring out the FET analysis. Twin Audio Visualizer - I found ways to drive 2 displays at a high speed while simultaneously completing FFT analysis. The Teensy controll is used with added external RAM.
