What a great project and nicely detailed blog on the build.

Would there be room to fit a drive rod for the beak operated by the two orange gears, running between them?

This is a tremendous design, getting those curves and the shape right is just brilliant. It also looks a very good print, quite a thin shell - your 3D printer must be very good as I could not get anything like this unless it was much thicker.

I had a very Darth Vader moment when you pulled Xut's face off. Pretty disturbing.
