Congratulations to the winners. It's amazing to see how well versed the contestants are in a multiple of disciplines. Even more amazing is the imagination that went into these projects.

I've noticed others using ferrules to get better, easier connections for stranded wires, and I've had plenty of times when that would have been very useful, so I was happy to be able to pick out a set of ferrules with a crimp tool.

I also expanded my 3D printing colour choices a bit.

That little clock / weather station I picked up to replace a little old clock I had that was very difficult to see. I've really been enjoying the indoor/outdoor weather station (made by the same company) element14 sent me earlier in the year, and this little clock has the same happy colourful and easy-to-read display.

The other thing I picked out was a couple of optical sensors - I'm hoping they might be able to detect liquid level in a hummingbird feeder. I had no idea they were this tiny! It's the two little specs just under the ferrules [emoticon:752f32bcc91d4a448db162742a877a4a]

I've already been doing some more 3D printing today. Now I need to figure out the right settings for the MultiComp PLA - they seem to need more heat than my other PLA [emoticon:5ce50ea3f9eb49809e861e8733750338] (I'd be happy to hear from others what the trick is to figuring this out!)
