I think Ray perhaps should have been given a pedometer (or perhaps some techo-trousers). 1,000 doors spaced around 100m apart with a stride length of around 70cm equals a lot of steps.

I had thought a good project would be delayed glass/mirror, but I'd think I'd need a Raspberry Pi magic mirror type project for that one.

62x PCA9685 will give 992 so that probably means a Mega for the remaining 8 PWM channels.

Yes Ray, just why did you come from the thousand doors lane ?

Either that or 1,000 logic 'gates' in which case a Vidor 4000 might be an idea. Some sort of delay line influencing a display attached to the HDMI output.
