I made one of these for school. It was fun, but it took two cube builds to get it right. Had a loose connection in the middle.

I have read the insteuctable too. How did you keep those LEDs so straight. And did you find a good template to connect them?

I keep wanting to make one of these. Though, I should probably start smaller as I'm still working on understanding matrices and how to interface with them with a micro controller. I really need to just commit, hunker down, and follow a how-to. Well done!

yup it took almost 15 days to solder all those LEDs and i am using arduino for micro controller and for the driver circuit i am using 8 74hc574 ICs (these are d-flipflops ) and a demux and for power i am using computer power supply.

What are you using for the driver circuit? How is it all controlled to drive the different patterns?
