&lt;p&gt;Portenta H7 module simultaneously runs high level code along with real time tasks. Its two asymmetric cores can simultaneously run high level code such as protocol stacks, machine learning or even interpreted languages like MicroPython or Javascript along with low-level real time tasks.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;On a 12x12 piece of plywood, I am constructing a farm scene for an HO scale model train layout.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The scene is of a farm yard fenced-in enclosure that has pigs, sheep, cows and chickens. The animals in the scene are showing animation. Pig heads move, cow tails swish and chicken peck at the ground. Besides the animal movement, there are animals sounds.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The scene sits inside a portable model train layout. I take the layout to train shows for public demonstrations. We provide push buttons for the public to trigger the animations.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I suspect the contest critics will call this an animation more than an automation. Maybe he is automating the movement of a cow&amp;rsquo;s head? One of the design goals is to make the electronics visible to the public. The electronic display can be an example of another way to become involved in model railroading.&lt;/p&gt;

Right now my solution&amp;nbsp;is&amp;nbsp;a self-made desktop app that blasts me with notifications and pauses my keyboard for a few minutes&amp;nbsp;and while that&amp;#39;s effectively prevents me to use my pc, I still have my phone to browse with. Another issue is that I also use my laptop for work and projects and it bothersome to receive alarms when you are fully engaged and in turn you lose that momentum. So I thought I&amp;#39;d make a smart beeper, one that I can place near my workplace or around the house that informs me when to pause even when I&amp;#39;m not using a computer. I&amp;#39;d like to also have the opportunity to make a simple scheduling app where I can tell my beeper to move my pause when I need to up to say, 2-3 times. &lt;p&gt;I thing Portenta H7 Board is capable of such task. BeforeI could find the Portenta Carrier board for camera connection, I shall used DCIM camera module to catch video. Some birds species in my locality are endangered. I want to do some ting for birds. I have a plan to make a smart bird house that will be controlled and monitored remotely. I want to monitor the temperature, humidity, sound, air quality, air pressure and gesture of a bird house for understanding the nature and comfort of the birds. I want to control the temperature and humidity inside the bird house artificially for a comfortable living. Cats, squirrels and snakes are the main predators for birds, their eggs and&amp;nbsp; young ones. Machine learning can helps to early detect of predators attack and take action accordingly to save the bird nest. I want to use vision base cat, squirrel and snake detector to close the nest/house door automatically to protect the house and birds from the predators. Sound analysis can also give important information about danger.
