I even built a device using instrumentation amplifier, 2nd order.

RE: Easy Peasy Non-Contact Electricity Detector (Not a Metal Detector)

hi, can u reply in my comment about ultra sensitive module. what is material u used? i want to build one bro

RE: Easy Peasy Non-Contact Electricity Detector (Not a Metal Detector)

Hi, I have assembly this circuit on breadboard but it does not work , the led is always On? could you please help me to debug to find the issue ?

RE: Easy Peasy Non-Contact Electricity Detector (Not a Metal Detector)

Nice thing [View:/resized-image/__size/16x16/__key/commentfiles/f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07-e9a8ee00-a9b1-487a-b4f4-e97141622505/1563.contentimage_5F00_1.png:16:16] I the device name and the writing style the most

RE: Easy Peasy Non-Contact Electricity Detector (Not a Metal Detector)

An interesting project. It would be good to get some sort of measurement of the AC voltage if that was possible, although if detecting mains we do know what it should be anyway. It would also be good to have a bigger range so that wires could be detected as well.

I did like the case, it would be good for a small mobile robot.

Dubbie

RE: Easy Peasy Non-Contact Electricity Detector (Not a Metal Detector)

This looks a useful circuit, will think about making my own

RE: Easy Peasy Non-Contact Electricity Detector (Not a Metal Detector)

Hi Mahmood,

I like your detector. I have a question though. Do you think you are detecting the magnetic field of the mains outlets or the electric field. I would vote for the electric field since there is no current flowing. If it is the electric filed then you are rejecting the electric field added by human touch by attenuation. The field generated by the mains outlets must be greater than the antenna effect of the human touch. Can you make the LED light by placing one hand near the outlet and then touching the wire? Sorry for all the questions but I just want to understand what is happening better.

John

RE: Easy Peasy Non-Contact Electricity Detector (Not a Metal Detector)

Nice project, I do like the demonstration of changing the sensitivity with different coils and the final build into the little spherical case.

Kind regards.
