I really enjoy the video's background music.

This minion useless box is really cool . Nice job.

I built a Useless Box for the Arduino Day projects this year using an Arduino Nano and an ISD1760PY voice recorder IC.

My servo runs at top speed, it is a bit startling, because it runs so fast.

I like that your servo arm is slow and gentile lifting the lid.

I greatly enjoyed reading this blog and watching the videos. Having made my Jack in the Box JackBox #6 : The Completed Article for a Project 14 competition I understand well all the problems and excitement of getting a box to open with a micro servo motor, and your box was much bigger than mine. I did enjoy all the different plastic 'robot' heads with LEDs and I feel inspired to try something similar, I just need to find some. There must be a car boot sale on somewhere soon.

The Maker Day reminded me of something I did a few years ago (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsVjmzSR7jc ) for an Open Day at the University where I worked. This was for a group of local school children or a group of home-schooled children (I cannot remember which it was now) on an open day where we were trying to interest them in engineering. 3D printing the robot bodies and getting everything all together, as well as making sure it worked was good fun. I miss my Robo-Bobs, so I might have to make another one now.

Nicely implemented useless-box! : )

The deliberate jerky motion would also be ideal for halloween, since that is coming soon : )

That motion would give a nice scary effect like Tim Burton animations : )
