If you want to have fun, you can give your grand kids some challenges, like try to make machine to turn flashlight on. And enjoy how they are figuring it out.

Very nice project. A creative meshing of technologies that allows a unique way of creating interesting and attractive visual works of art.

Looks great.

This reminds me a bit of a short course I viewed on the O'Reilly platform which also uses Arduino but with the Processing language to create visual effects through a hardware interface.

A while ago, Monash University produced a MOOC on FutureLearn called 'Creative Coding' which was all about generative art which was also interesting

It featured some of the work by Casey Reas REAS.com is a database for Casey REAS co-founder of the Processing.

I'm not sure if it is still running or not, or may have been moved elsewhere but was an interesting course.

Victoria,

This produces some good art effects. Do you have a method for printing out to make permanent copies? Also, it would be interesting to try diffeerent shapes, perhaps more rectangular as well as circles/ovals.

A good project.

Hi Victoria,

I really like your art project very much. I could not load the video though. Please use the icons that look like this to insert pictures and videos into your presentation. Then the pictures will appear in the text and the videos will be playable from the text. I have never heard of fluid art before. It looks very interesting and reminds me of a map with the smooth contours. Can you tell me more about fluid art and what are some of the parameters that define what it is. I liked your painting on the circuit board.
