Very cool John.

A lot of schematic diagrams use the exploded view to show the assembler how each component will fit on the board.

I have seen this done for electronics and also for optic and mechanical devices.

It is a very useful technique and a cool desk item.

That's really nice!

I seem to recall accidentally making something similar when I printed a PCB transparency at the slightly wrong size for etching, but it didn't look this nice : )

Nice metalwork/woodwork too.

Very cool artwork/project! It really does look as if it is all exploding off of the board. For your next project you could ditch the PCB all together and build a cube shaped object where the parts are wired together in space. Sort of a borg cube.

And you're correct - the video shows the 3 dimensional layout much better - it appears to have a very nice spherical feel to it.

Very creative idea John. It looks like it even has a chance of working. Normally space wiring is considered ugly, and we have all seen some nasty examples, but this treatment of space wiring to a printed circuit board has a much cleaner, more aesthetic look. Well done.
