The other I've been programming myself, and have been unable to replicate the beacon firmware. With a multimeter hooked up, I can see that it's never quite managing to start up. Regarding the jumper: I've done that part successfully, so my LED blinker program works from the solar cell (allowing for early brown out). When I try BLE transmission however, I can only get that working with USB power. The current from the solar cell isn't sufficient. I have switched over to LinuxOS now on my computers. I will have to see if I saved those examples on a backup drive somewhere.
