UV-C can be build into an air flow module in front of the filter. UV-C is known to destroy virus lipid and expose its RNA which left the virus unable to bind into human cell. Using HV is very impractical because you need 1kV-3kV per mm depend on humidity and the virus is in micron. The UV-C wavelength from 200nm-280nm will destroy virus RNA. The filter can be replaceable.

RE: Anti-Virus Ideas

I am working on a hands-free soap dispense, should have a blog up soon.

Doug - your video reminded me that I have a peristaltic pump, which I can use for my project.

Thanks- Carmelito

RE: Anti-Virus Ideas

You can use a hair dryer to build a hot air flux, combined with a closed box or a filtered box to stop spreading the viral particles by the hair dryer air power.

You can use the printer scanner to sterilize object or a laser pointer +1W power.

Search studies about how much power / cm2 is necessary to destroy the micron virus shield.

RE: Anti-Virus Ideas

Doug, you've lost some zeroes in your air breakdown sums: breakdown voltage for air is 3kV/mm.

I have several insect killers which use the voltage between wires principle - they work OK for creatures with wingspan down to 10 - 20% of the wire gap - a virus zapper would need 1 micron spacing which is not practical.

MK
