Recent studies show results in favor of it but still it is a matter of concern indeed. actually it's FAR UVC and 200 - 222 nm cannot penetrate human skin at the dose we need to have germicidal effect to germs. Like, as far as I know SARS Cov-2 gets inactivated only at 2-3 mJ/cm2 exposure. Recent studies proved that it's safe for human skin. I think it is already approved by FDA too. However, I believe more research needs to be carried out in multidimensional clinical test to increase the credibility of this technology.
