Very cool Doug! Midi is an interesting beast. I recently purchased a MIDI keyboard and I have working in building a MIDI interface to my Multi-channel synthesizer project. They MIDI board that I have has programmable knobs and sliders that I can use to provide controls to all of the settings within the multiple voice channels plugged into the new (MIDI) motherboard. Now, I just need more time to get this up and running.

I might need to copy some of your piezo sensors, as yet another approach to control my synthesizer projects. Thanks for sharing!

Ah, Nice, how far away from the Piezo sensor can you hit before it stops detecting the hits?

Many years ago I set up a fractal pattern generator to play music based upon the values it calculated.

Very interesting sound.

I got myself a sequencer/synth recently to try and improve my sense of rhythm. I think it might take electrodes and higher voltages though...

I've got a pile of MIDI stuff in the basement lab from MIDI-controlled Tesla coils I designed back around 2006. I also made some triggered drum practice pads by attaching piezoelectric sensors to the back of the pads and running the signal to a micro. Fun stuff.

Make a LED matrix based timer also on top. That way you need not keep the RPI on all the time

ah rats, Hate it when last minute snags delay the project, i almost tossed my table out of frustration because some LED's in my project stared to misbehave. But out of some random luck, i saw there was a improperly soldered ground wire. Looking forward for the final demo
