The pir sensor has a really wide detection angle, the ultrasonic is about 15 degrees, that may influence your selection. Not sure about tof sensor, in my experience take more effort to work.

RE: BLE Christmas Tree Lights - Neopixel Wiring

That is very sweet that you were able to light your tree with custom handmade lights! They look fabulous!

"Not my finest work" Sure beats my fairy light attempt lol [mention:f0d1c38326854647b059394f3e9a485d:46448885d0e64133bbfbf0cd7b0fd6f7]

Thanks for sharing this, I just noticed you can purchase WS2812B fairy light strings, so now I have a project for next Christmas

It's looking great.

Six LEDs looks about right for that size of tree I think.

Hiding the wiring is always tricky, especially at that scale. Fibre-optics as a light pipe might be another way of doing it - keep the LEDs in the base, then run fibre-optic strands up the back of the tree trunk, then follow the branches and terminate in a translucent bauble which then lights up.

Merry Christmas

RE: BLE Christmas Tree Lights - Neopixel Wiring

It would be interesting to try a [embed:ad4490ac-0ce8-4f2d-a04c-9285646d5689:a14a37b8-967c-463a-997a-d5fa1de2887d:text=mmWave%20human%20presence%20sensor&style=link&farnell=&newark=99AJ4823&cpc=&avnetemea=&avnetema=&avnetasia=&comoverride=&cmpoverride=&AreaInteracted=rte-content&bom=].
