Interesting and well-documented project! It was interesting to see your results with the sound recorder board - I'll have to order some of those sometime to experiment with them : )

Incidentally, the white board you're using, doesn't it generate a lot of static electricity? It looks like 'expanded polystyrene'. If it does, be careful when you remove the electronics, in case it damages the Arduino.

A great project with some good ideas as well as being nicely packaged. The idea to use LED arrays to indicate orientation is interesting and I might have to think about how I might be able to use that concept in future projects.
