What attracted my attention is MQTT. I've seen so many times, how people solve *everything* with HTTP. Like there is nothing more in the network.

Hi Jan,

I have not been able to connect the MKR 1010 to WiFi. I am using the WiFiNINA library. I ran the utility File/Examples/WiFiNINA/Tools/CheckFirmwareVersion from inside the IDE which gives the following output:

WiFiNINA firmware check.

Firmware version installed: 1.0.0
Latest firmware version available : 1.2.0

Check result: NOT PASSED
- The firmware version on the module do not match the
version required by the library, you may experience
issues or failures.

I tried to run the firmware updater unsuccessfully. Did you have to update the firmware or have any problems?

Jan,

I want to get a better understanding of IoT so I will follow your advice and work through the tutorial. Do you know if it will work with a MKR 1000 (rather than MKR 1010) as that is what I have.
