This is an awesome project!

Very cool that you're controlling the Arduino via USB serial, and possibly the Pi in future - it makes it useful for the rest of the year too, since it could be used to play alert tunes for all manner of events.

Niko, I love the way they talk to each other. It would be cool if they had some sensors and communicated values to the other about them which would change the state of the 2nd then vice versa so there would be a more complex and maybe even self perpetuating communication going on !

Hardly a CNC made box [View:/resized-image/__size/16x16/__key/commentfiles/f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07-79350362-77ac-4ba8-862b-f688b6083273/contentimage_5F00_938.png:16:16] but just as suitable.

We do see the odd micro board coming through in very robust boxes.

I must remember that I could use them in future projects.

Mine are sitting there waiting for the mods and will be for a while as I have a large workload for the next month.

Funnily ... this sort of project wouldn't have been a struggle 10 yrs ago and even 5yrs ago, would have required more expensive hardware.

Funny thing is, looking back, that one of the first thoughts I had was that I'd need to separate out the power supply.
