Great post.

Reminded me of my early years working in a laser lab where I could play with reflections and other interesting effects as light passes through various materials.

This is a fascinating blog post with some beautiful results, so my admiration to your work for that.

You obviously took some safety precautions. I'm not sure if I would have moved up to the 400mW units for a visual display and I believe some DVD use a dual visible and IR diode, both of which can easily cause eye damage, something to be aware of for anyone following closely in [mention:050549436bd64f50a71d3db7750d1220:e9ed411860ed4f2ba0265705b8793d05] footsteps?
