Very well thought out system design and nice history lesson. Look forward to seeing the end result.

Don Lancaster also provided inspiration for some of my early electronics adventures. I have pieces of a TV typewriter with an SRAM board somewhere…. I followed him more for video generation for early SBCs.

Nice project! : ) It will look very neat with all the boards plugged into the backplane. Great idea to have echo functionality too. It's an interesting chip, I will also order one of those, to try it out.

Amazing project. I am very curious how the voice mixer works with the six voices and how you are going to route the signals to the different voice modules, chords/polyphony? Thanks for sharing.

Great project. This one will keep you busy having fun even after it is complete, although completing it will be a feat in itself.

Awesome project. I like how everything is divided into separate modules. How much loss in audio quality would there be if you reduced your interrupt rate from 100kHz to 50kHz?
