It took me a while to work out that one of your photographs was of the 8 (?) opto-coupler pairs of LEDs that make up the black line detector. I have recently purchased some of the opto-couplers to try out for this purpose and I would be interested in the results that you have obtained. How did you decide on the height about the ground?
