I am glad you liked project. This one took a lot more effort than I would have liked but the result is something I can be happy about and is more complete than many of my other projects.

Excellent project [mention:b60dcf9c31a8492ea6badbcc611934d0:e9ed411860ed4f2ba0265705b8793d05] I was thinking this kind of setup for a while ... apologies if you had this information already in your post, where have you placed the RFID reader? Like near the door so that it can be easy for anyone exiting the room to show their cards to the reader to make the system aware they are away?
