Though I wasn't able to follow your project from the start, reading your blogs now made me have the feel of how much effort went into the project, the pressure to complete things before the deadline. It literally put me on the edge of my seat while reading your project blogs from start to finish on whether or not the project will be finished on time with so much work and delayed PCB delivery. I am not good at 3D modeling yet but your works in this project serve as an inspiration and motivation for me.

I love toys and those are basically my inspiration to work in the electronics field but this year I couldn't much concentrate on electronics projects (was busy with work and learning new technologies). Mr. Machine and You have pulled me back on track, thanks for that!

Seasons greetings and a merry Christmas to you in advance!

RE: Mr. Machine gets an upgrade - Mostly working, but still needs a little some help.

Good project.

DAB

RE: Mr. Machine gets an upgrade - Mostly working, but still needs a little some help.

Hi Gene,

An amazing and well done upgrade to Mr. Machine. I have always suffered from problems when it comes to stuffing the electronics into the selected shell. I can manage the electronics (mostly) but I always get wildly optimistic about how small it will all get when fitted together. I think it stems from working at the University where I was only involved with the electronic functionality - there was never time for esoteric things like boxes and casings!. I have found my 3D printer great for being able to make a casing that just about works.

Dubbie

RE: Mr. Machine gets an upgrade - Mostly working, but still needs a little some help.

Great work Gene - although I was worried the table top test could end in disaster....luckily it didn't and Mr. Machine gets to trundle about another day [View:/resized-image/__size/16x16/__key/commentfiles/f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07-895eb358-241a-4ec7-8851-fb53256cc17e/contentimage_5F00_1.png:16:16].
