The SemTech SX1276 supports 169 MHz. I should conclude this MBED to Hercules Port project so that I can put the this fancy antenna to use:

169 MHz is a frequency people are recommending for inner city in-building use...

I've prepared a second launchpad for external antenna testing:

The footprints for the components are 0402. I prefer a litlle bigger for hand rework...

I have done this before some years ago with the sister launchpad.

This time the result was cleaner.
