Great results. I've found your blog very interesting and I hadn't heard of anyone using a retractable tape measure for Yagi elements before to enable it to be portable. It go me thinking (dangerous times now [View:/resized-image/__size/16x16/__key/commentfiles/f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07-fa730c29-4299-481e-b11a-dae1e0cee380/7635.contentimage_5F00_938.png:16:16]). If you used some 20mm PVC conduit for the main support you could add in a 3/4-way box where the director, reflector or antenna elements are to be located. Gluing the main support pieces only. Use suitable stubs of 20mm conduit in the other port(s) of the 3/4-way but that can be pulled out for transportation. The tape measure is attached to the main support and loosely attached to the removable side pieces - perhaps a loose cable tie?
