The mcu will allow you to do time critical processes, while the mpu runs an OS. Cool.

Maybe it's also possible to make the mpu deep-sleep and wake up by the controller? That 'd be interesting...

Usually 1n4148 diodes are rated around 100V but it looks like they are hanging in there.

Nice project!

Incidentally there are NFC ICs that have a 'SRAM pass-through' mode, e.g. NXP ones, which would provide infinite read/write. I know this is an ST-component project, I'm only mentioning it because perhaps ST have such a device with that sort of functionality too. I guess ST have really intended this particular IC to me more for EEPROM replacement for small bits of config, in which case it perfectly meets their intended applications I guess. But nice to stretch a device to see what else can be done with it too.

Great work!

I'm surprised more people don't have projects using the dynamic tag ICs. It's an extremely clean and reasonably cost-effective way of making products configurable, without requiring USB UART, BLE, etc.

It would be interesting to pair one of them up with a Pico, get it to execute code transferred via NFC : ) since MicroPython and it's libraries is so concise for quite complicated stuff.

Nice. You have some downsides with the iPhone, but also an upside: the location of the NFC antenna. On my phone, it's on the backside, below the middle of the phone.

When I lay out a matrix of small tags, it's hard to aim and connect to the expected one.

Some awesome info. I had never heard of web-NFC but it looks really useful. You've also created a really nice example application for it.

I have only one question about the idea behind it. I hope it doesn't sound too critical.

I assume the NFC tag repsents the bus stop or train station. if you need to scan a QR code to open the web page, why not just add a location Id to the QR code? If the answer is "I could, but I just wanted to learn about web-NFC" then that's absolutely a good enough reason.
