Great idea. You could have all sorts of mischievous fun with a animatronic cuckoo clock, and do Rubey things too ! The clock hands could have a hall effect sensor to define home position, depending if you use a DC motor or stepper. How about using a cuckoo clock as an egg timer, and a rooster crows for 3 minute eggs. Put a ping sensor in there and have the bell ringer tell you to back up if you get too close. How about a cuckoo clock with a camera with facial recognition so it can have custom audio and animated routines depending on the person.
