Nice detail of a relatively simple repair.

There is far too much good equipment thrown away, when a few dollars, some time and a bit of know how will restore it to service.

It's a lot easier when you have the schematic and service information, and this is becoming scarce nowdays.

I have a (far less exotic) pocket radio to repair sometime, it has some noisy slider volume controls : (

I wonder how much of this great equipment ends up in the trash each year for lack of someone to just do a small repair like this? Nice job.
