Altera’s Cyclone V SoC devices have been designed to address this need and many others. They are ideal for reducing the overall system power, cost and board size by combining a discrete processor component and a programmable logic device into a single device. They also offer an increase in bandwidth and system performance due to the internal interconnect routing between the processor and the FPGA. The very flexible architecture allows multiple configuration options and customizable hardware designs to be implemented.

In this webinar, Todd and Craig will introduce you to Altera’s Cyclone V SoC family and will give you a tour of Lark Board explaining the main features and benefits.

Presenters: Todd Koelling & Craig Stiegman

Todd Koelling is Sr. Manager, SoC Product Marketing at Altera. He has been with Altera for 3 years beginning with the launch of the first Altera SoC FPGA in 2011. His areas of technology expertise include SoC architecture, performance benchmarking, power and platform implementations.

Prior to Altera, he spent the majority of his career at Intel where he led the development of the design guide for the first Intel® Pentium® processor and was one of the authors of the original PCI bus specification.

Craig Stiegman is a Technology Development Manager with Newark Element14. He is responsible for partnering with key manufacturer partners through the Strategic Alliance program. Focus on co-producing of development platforms/kits. He has extensive experience in the FPGA and ASIC space.

RoadTest

Want a Lark Board of your own, absolutely free? Click here to enrol in our RoadTest!

re: Developing Advanced Embedded Systems with Altera Cyclone V SoC and element14 Lark Board by Former Member

Any difference from DE1 SOC board?
