Tried to finish part3. No luck, looks like it's impossible:

Computer A: Win 10 Home 64 bit. Not compatible with Xilinx Software. Runs software OK, but can't upload bit file.

Computer B: Win 10 Enterprise 64 bit. Ran Part 2 successfully. Uploaded part 3 bit file successfully. Tried to run and got:

Executables selected for down load on the the following processors doesn't exist or incorrectly specified.

Do you wish to ignore them and proceed (to waste your time)?

1.Microblaze_0

Proceed => nothing...

I came into project late for Labs 1,2,and 3. I followed the videos for labs 1 and 2, but don't know of this lab book that has instructions. Where do you find this step 43 in lab book 3?

Jayson talked about the Breathalyzer example project for Arty-S7. There are actually 9 example projects on Hackster based on the Arty-S7. You can look at these specifically by sorting the Digilent projects by Product Arty-S7. I believe this link should take you directly to that page, filtered by Arty-S7.

Is there going to be a step-by-step for getting the program to work from DDR3? I tried adding to the project as is and now nothing works. It says something about the processor being held in reset. Think I need to start from the beginning with DDR3 as suggested, just not sure of the proper order: 1. add Microblaze, change clock, add DDR3 or 2. add DDR3, then clocks, then Microblaze or 3. ???

New solutions download says it can't be downloaded securely. Could be my company's network restrictions, but I don't normally have a problem and I've been able to download the labs no problem.

I went back and tried lab 3 again.

After I add PmodNav_v1_0. I can't add connector JA any more. It's all ready yellowed, and I get a circle with a line going through it.

So I ignored that step and continued. When I run connection automation, and check all, I get only 2 out of 2 selected because ext_spi_Clk comes up missing.

I click OK and I can see the ext_SPI_Clk is not connected. whent to add inmetrupst but they were all ready wired. When I validate the design I get "

[BD 41-758] The following clock pins are not connected to a valid clock source: /PmodNAV_1/ext_spi_clk

Which I all ready new because the connection automation didn't work right.

Now what????

Has anyone got DDR3/Mig working with the Microblaze? (i.e. passing timing constraints, etc) if so please post block design.

I re-started the Pmod. Deleted all files and started over. And it still crashes. I just gave up.

Hi Guys - late to the party, but it's been really useful, really enjoyable...

i've got Lab3 going on a Cmod-S7, but i'm having difficulty programming configuration into QSPI to run from boot

anyone know of a tutorial step-by-step how to make it so ?!
