This is good timing for me. I just bought an Arduino Nano 33 IoT board and have been intending to play with it. It has an IMU (gyroscope+accelerometer) built in, good for vibration monitoring.

Edge Impulse (Jan) just did a voice demo using the micro:bit v2. https://www.edgeimpulse.com/blog/voice-activated-microbit

I've been trying out building models (creating impulses) for the Nano 33 BLE Sense and the Wio Terminal. If your board and sensors are supported the process is pretty straightforward.

The price for Arduino Nano 33 BLE is above RPi 3B. I'm wondering how do they compare in terms of AI capabilities, speed of development, AI frameworks ecosystem, performance and power consumption?

How nano33 BLE work as an edge device?. Is this board is capable for doing machine learning and deeplearning functionalities for AI applications.

Is generated by Edge Impulse the package which contains signal processing code, neural network weight and classification code has only form of C++ library ? Is there a support for some optimizations or increasing of performance in case of applications like audio or video processing ? What devices are supported by Edge Impulse ? How look process of porting of new device ? Are devices with dedicated neural network units e.g. Kendryte K210 or GPU e.g. NVIDIA Jetson Nano supported by Edge Impulse ?

Hi Jenny,

Nice to see you interacting with the community. What's the best way to get support for porting implementations? I'm trying to use the microphone on the Wio Terminal for keyword spotting. I've already tried this on an Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense deployed as an Arduino library and using the nano_ble33_sense_microphone_continuous.ino program. The Wio Terminal uses an analog mic vs the PDM one on the Nano 33 BLE Sense. Is it preferred to use the forum or can I interact directly via email or DM? On the forum Jan had suggested that I should use DMA for the A/D on the mic. I've verified that I can do double buffered DMA but I'm just trying to figure out which DMA handler to use (the Wio Terminal also uses DMA for the display and the file system). I pretty sure that I can work that out but I wanted to make sure that I understand how to interface the data buffers.

I've done some artificial neural network thingys using C, on PCs and Arduinos. I'm looking forward to finding out more about Machine Learning. I hope ML is easy to understand and then get implemented.
