This means that systems are getting more dense, designers have to manage the system thermals better due to the need for high reliability, and efficiency is extremely important. This TI design addresses some of these key challenges by using a highly integrated quad channel 4-20mA and voltage output DAC with integrated adaptive power management. In addition, we will also discuss a reference design used to pass IEC61000-4 suite of tests.

This quad-channel, analog output module delivers voltage and current outputs using the highly integrated DAC8775 digital-to-analog converter (DAC). There is development, debugging, and drivers for Microsoft Windows series of operating system but I don't see anything in regards to Linux or BSD, as I program drivers, support libraries and application for the BSD operating system and Linux distributions.

Do you have a source code repository I could check out and download from or isn't it available?

I don't see anything in regards to intermodulation distortion and crosstalk in when it comes to the channels of the evaluation board. Would like to know what the typical measurements would be on a standard 4 layer FR-4 PCB. Of course I've done more elaborate routing with many more planes on finished products but as a test bed item, I prefer to go as simple as possible.

re: More Channels in Less Space: New Trends in Highly Integrated DACs by rscasny

To download the slides please click here and sign into your myTI account or create a new one.

re: More Channels in Less Space: New Trends in Highly Integrated DACs by rscasny

Webinar recording is now available

re: More Channels in Less Space: New Trends in Highly Integrated DACs by ninjatrent

Just watched the recording. Great presentation. Volume level was a bit low.

On a side note, please consider adding point system for viewing webinars. The content of the webinars is very rewarding but if members received some points for watching a webinar, this could increase interest. Community members are awarded points for a variety of actions. It would be nice if members received a few points for attending and viewing the recorded webinars. Unfortunately I have been unable to view a live webinar yet. I will be making an effort to attend future webinar events.
