If one might propose some questions in advance:

We know what 2040 stands for, and it gives us a glimpse of future expansions. Are there any schedulable plans for more RAM?
Does anybody have any experience/hints in using FRAM as program memory? Sometimes a smaller memory with massively more write cycle durability could be beneficial.
Are there any plans for expanding PIO modules? Especially ones allowing larger programs (say 128 or 256 instructions)?

Have recently started to use Raspberry Pi modules, like to see how the RP2040 can work with some of my other 32 micro-controller designs.

Interesting webinar. The "real world uses" left me hungry for more of a show & tell of cool and actual "out of the box" projects using the RP2040, both commercial and hobbyist.

Great introduction, great presentation! I look forward to more of these presentations! Having 2 cores is great for those small applications that don't need all that computing power.

As for the language support someone asked: that's any language that supports "arm-none-eabi" triple, as RP2040 is a simple Cortex-M0+ device. Compiler able to generate raw ARM THUMB code, linker able to generate raw elf and some custom links scripts to wire everything together. That's essentially any GCC-based language and any LLVM-based language. For a more precise triple, it is "thumbv6m-none-eabi" (for example, this is the correct target for Rust support). That's of course C and C++. Quite probably (I didn't test) Ada (via GNAT) and D (via GDC, probably also via LDC).

Rust has some pretty decent support for RP2040 (I did a simple project with event-driven USB serial port), including HAL libraries: https://crates.io/crates/rp-pico
TinyGo also supports RP2040: https://tinygo.org/docs/reference/microcontrollers/pico/
