To find the spectral range of each LED I recommend reviewing the LED datasheets at https://www.osram-os.com/Graphics/XPic1/00164541_0.pdf/LE%20BA%20Q6WM%20-%20OSRAM%20OSTAR%20Projection%20Compact.pdf and https://www.osram-os.com/Graphics/XPic0/00204329_0.pdf/LCG%20H9RM.pdf

You mentioned it has linux embedded, does it have an SD card or how gets setup?

The EVM itself does not require an SD card, but an SD card is recommended for use with the BeagleBone Black. Debian Jessie (v8.9) is recommended for use with this EVM and can be downloaded from the BeagleBoard.org website.

Is the heat from the LED?

Yes. Heat from operation is primarily from the optical engine and the LEDs inside.

How much current does the board draw?

The EVM draws ~320 mA typically during operation (see the EVM user’s guide athttp://www.tij.co.jp/jp/lit/ug/dlpu049c/dlpu049c.pdf in section 3.1).

How does the BBB get to the Internet and repositories?

The BeagleBone Black has an onboard Ethernet adapter for internet access. Some flavors of the BeagleBone have built-in Wi-Fi capabilities as well.

Can you please upload a complete SD image? (Referring to the SD Card image for the Beagle Bone)

I have provided redirect links to the SD card image page on the Texas Instruments E2E forums in this thread: https://e2e.ti.com/support/dlp__mems_micro-electro-mechanical_systems/video_and_data_display/f/947/t/615806

This is probably more technical, the unit works at 5V, but would like to ask if it's 3.3V tolerant ? (luis Ortiz)

Yes, the system has 3.3V input. The exact specifications for GPIO pinouts can be reviewed in the DLPC2607 datasheet at http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/dlpc2607.pdf (see section 6.6)

What I meant is if the GPIO is 3.3V tolerant, not referring to the power input itself

See answer above.

How high is the optical efficiency regarding Lumen output/ Lumen input ? (welte)

I don’t believe this specification is provided on its own, but it can be calculated by taking into consideration the input lumens from each LED. I recommend reviewing the LED datasheets (linked above) to do this.

Does Beagle Bone Blue supports this EVM directly?

It is difficult to say. From initial impressions this system only has a handful GPIO pins. To have minimum functionality at least a 16-bit video interface (for RGB565) is needed along with the 4-pin I2C interface.

Are there any heat flow issues?

Not in particular, although the chassis can get especially hot when running at high brightness. In this situation additional cooling is recommended (such as a larger heatsink).

Additional questions can be asked on our E2E forums at https://e2e.ti.com/
