Would it be possible to explain the procedure of how to configure ADC with sampling rate clocked by some internal timer with data being transferred to a memory location using DMA? Or another example involving similar 3 connected components, including DMA?

An example of an embedded BeagleBone application can be seen at Desktop Engraver Project | Original Technology . This application uses the BeagleBone Black with the 4D Systems 7" LCD. Software was done using a mixture of C, Python and Java. The PRU's on the BeagleBone were used for real time control of the 4 stepper motors and limit switch I/O.

Really appreciate the BBB embedded webinar and especially the mention/intro of the PRU and a cookbook. I'm actively looking to generate 8 digital variable frequency 1Khz to 0.01HZ to 0Hz outputs from PRU0 - (P9_25, _27,28,29,30,31,41,42) simulating 8 "counting meter" and managing it from a JS environment - assuming 8*16bit numbers need to be passed.

The JS interface of course allows a sophisticated interactive User IO.

I have it with just one output - using the PWM subsystem that worked nicely - but now extending it to 8 outputs. I've prototyped with JS, but it takes 1.4mS to generate a GPIO pulse in JS

What is the best version of BBB to start playing with the PRU?

Currently I'm based on Debian 9.3 2018-01-28 4GB SD LXQT - it seems > dogtag:[BeagleBoard.org Debian Image 2018-03-05] has some PRU loading issues. https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#label/Personal%2Fbeagleboard/FMfcgxvwzRhPVcZQFdXBlxnLddrJPfdM

( I'm also considering making a panel meter on a LCD that represents the 8outputs, using LXQT/LCD7" - but this is a lower priority)

What is challenging is understanding the best base BBB to work on (and I do appreciate a lot of work is going into stabilizing the base), and whether to try for the RPMsg or stick with the UIO methods, and then how to simply integrate the PRU comms into a JS environment. So my ears really pricked up when you mentioned "PRU cookbook"

So far when I try compiling the STARTER Ware examples on the BBB it comes up with errors I haven't been able to solve (sorry I haven't the system in front of me right now)

So going to try building on a linux machine and then running : PRU Training: Toggling GPIO

Maybe someone can help me out here. When I signed up for the seminars, I was under the impression that I could watch them afterwards. I knew I'd be at work during the live session. Can someone give or point out a link to these or was I under the wrong impression ? If so.... my bad and I apologize for this post.
