Not sure why but I could not get into the event to hear the audio:

a) Ubuntu 14.04 o/s I could get into the event and see the Q&A etc but no sound

b) Windows 10 could not event get the event software to run....

So will play the recording back later.

Thanks for a great webinar. Robert's audio was a bit shaky at the beginning but cleaned up.

I've ordered (purchased) the contents of the "Road Kit" and am waiting for them to arrive. Can you tell us what plant moisture sensor you were using? I would like to duplicate what Robert presented as a starting point before venturing off on my own to do some other projects.

Thanks for putting on this webinar. It is both interesting and challenging.

Amongst the challenges are some missing pieces of information to assist us trying to duplicate Roberts examples.

1) Which pins did he wire up the variable resistor to and then the sensor on the CC110L pcb.

2) He loads the multitasking software sketch into the presentation but it isn't visible since his screen wasn't shared.
Could you please supply the sketch as a download and preparation for using MT.

3) There also appears to be a jumper on wire on the CC3200.
This leads me to ask which way do we configure all the jumpers on the CC3200?

I am really trying to reproduce this learning opportunity so please share more details.

Has anyone else gotten through the entire exercise?

Any suggestions or hints to success?

Here are some of the responses from our Q&A session from yesterday's webinar. There are a few questions we will need to get back to you on.

Q: How faster the CCS code than the energia for wifi connection?

A: Energia offers ease-of-use & rapid development thanks in-part to software abstraction. This software abstraction encapsulates complex peripherals to enable developers to quickly leverage them in their own application. This abstraction does introduce some overhead, but on larger/faster devices, the effects can be minimized. Note that Energia is built using TI’s TI RTOS & TI Driver Libraries, so underneath the Energia APIs are the same lower level functions/drivers developers would typically be writing anyway.

Q: Is Energia only good for prototype or even for production projects? Thanks

A: Energia uses open source licenses in it’s source code. If that fits within your production requirements then Energia can be used in production.

Q: When will Energia support for MT on other ARM based LaunchPads?

A: There are still a couple of changes we would like to make to the MT implementation before we enable other platforms. I estimate that we will have MT available on TivaC around the summer time.

Q: Is msp430 and cc3200 has the same pin configurations?

A: All TI LaunchPad kits adhere to the BoosterPack pinout standard that is documented here (www.ti.com/byob) — this enables LaunchPad kits to leverage the growing BoosterPack ecosystem of plug-in modules. As we demonstrated in the training, the MSP430 & CC3200 LaunchPads were both able to leverage the CC110L sub-Ghz RF BoosterPack thanks to this pin compatibility. Note however, that each LaunchPad may have some differences, so it’s always best to check your specific LaunchPad’s schematic for more detail. Another helpful resources are the Energia pin mapping diagrams. These diagrams provide a quick way to see what Energia functions are available at each LaunchPad pin. Here’s an example of the Energia pin map for the MSP432 LaunchPad:

A useful link to sort out whether your CC3200 is updated or not. I have both a rev 3.2 and 4.1board version

It also solves the problem of having to remove or reinstall the jumper on SOP2

When loading WebinarGatewayV2 into the cc3200 I get the response:

However, the serial port only outputs:
