    thanks for your useful reply rolandl.

    Encouraged by your report of having it working on Ubuntu, I spent more of my time trying to get the video working.

    Now that I have discovered that the video delivery system that element14 are choosing to use is webex:

    Why Haven't You Signed Up for an element14 Webinar Lately?

    I can just give up now and stop wasting any more of my valuable time. :-( :-( :-(

    I continue to be unable to understand why Companies with substantial numbers of Customers who are technically literate and use Linux choose to pay good money to alienate them by giving that money to webex- which has a long long long long history of not caring about ease of use on Linux.

    <sigh>

    That sucks.

    To Element14:

    Idea to put the webinars on Element14's youtube channel?

    Everybody and his grandma can watch Youtube video's on any platform.

    You can checkout the views as easy on Youtube as on your own site and

    put plenty of links from the Youtube vid to products on Element14's site.

    I find it, generally speaking, a PITA to watch video's on company websites

    and I rarely watch  live webcasts, only if your NASA and are launching a mission to Mars.

    Anything else I forget or think 'later'. So in both cases I'll be watching it later.

    Added bonus by having it on Youtube is that your video will have more views and

    that their algoritms will generate links to other video's on your channel.
