The need for high-speed data connectivity continues to grow as high-performance computing applications and Internet of Things solutions become part of society's personal and business lives. Since large amounts of data are produced in the cloud and on the edge of a network next-generation I/O and cabling solutions have become available to enable faster processing, more bandwidth, increased density and thermal management.

End launch connectors are used to transition microwave energy from coaxial to planar transmission-line structures. Test boards, chip demo sets, and applicable process boards use end launch connectors to connect test-line coaxial cables to grounded coplanar waveguide (GCPWG) and microstrip circuits. Chip and package testing often goes to a minimum of three times the operating frequencies to look for harmonics, which pushes demand for higher-frequency models. In-line or horizontal (where mating is parallel to board) connectors or vertical-mount designs are most common.

What is Your Interest in AI and Machine Learning?

I am preparing my schedule for topics in 2019 for ESSENTIALS, as well as other programs such as RoadTests and/or Webinars. I have discussed with others about offering a several part series on artificial intelligence or machine learning. I think it's topic that everyone should have knowledge in. My intent was that the first module might be more general knowledge, but the subsequent ones would be much more in depth -- perhaps more like a tutorial.

I am not seeing a lot of content on this topic on the community. Never much in the way of discussions. Hence, this poll. If you have the time, please respond. Thanks.

The Future of Essentials Learning Modules

With Essentials: Connectors II going live, comments on this new programme of learning modules have been echoing loudly in the element14 halls.

Thanks to your enthusiastic response to Connectors I. We've got big plans for Essentials, and naturally you're a significant part of them. We've been kicking a few ideas around for future Essentials learning modules with the Top Members, and now it's time to put them in front of you guys and get some feedback on topics before composing new modules.

At the minute we see Essentials as our 'learning technologies' modules; and later this year we will be launching Masterclasses, our 'how to' technology implementation modules - more on these later.

So make your voice heard and vote on your favourite option from the following subjects, then we will start planning all that delicious content. And don't worry if your top choice doesn't win; none of these potential topics are off the table. It's more about prioritisation .
