Like we sometimes find antique valuable stuffs on savaging, E14 has amazing posts dated very back and pops up occasionally. Some type of parametric search/ post categorization by keyword would be super useful. My wife an I have assisted in a couple of citizen science projects here in Texas. We were both trained as Master Naturalist where we are encouraged to volunteer to causes that advance teaching others about nature. We are currently (this will be our second year) involved in a research project on backyard bird feeding. We maintain 2 to 3 feeders (depending on the season) and count birds once a week. We are reporting our counts to a lab at UTSA (University of Texas at San Antonio). This has been a fun project, and is something that we had been doing anyway (the past four years), but it does allow us to be involved with a group that is looking out for the birds in the area.

Sounds like a go idea, along with a decent amount of money for winners. There are some quite bright students at Universities which will be uncluttered with all the preconceived ideas and practices that most of us engineery types have learnt in order to deal with reality.

I am doing some beacon work and this will be my first use of php and MariaDB as this has replaced MySQL.

Any updates on other ways to do this?

Step1: understand the IP address of your pi,

Step2: Download putty. ...

Then login the use of login ID and password. ...

Step3: deploy VNC server using the command sudo apt-get deploy tightvncserver.
