Restarted reading from top-down all the three posts. This is really great depicting the right scenario. You can do it. I perfectly agree with [mention:4966e6ad97f64dac9ea8919abb220e1d:e9ed411860ed4f2ba0265705b8793d05]... The vision is the same in all the fields, not only measurement or electronics. And I bet that there are not so many college labs with the tools prescribed by TI

From what I have seen, there is no reason that anyone cannot do a good job of assessing the TI device with some basic test equipment.

Back in Tech School, early 1970's, we did most of our work with just a power supply, multimeter and an oscilloscope.

You can do a lot of good work with just those basic tools.
