I got as far as a battery powered cart you could sit on and then retirement beckoned. It seems more and more likely that I&amp;#39;ll soon be able to buy an electric car (at a price I consider reasonable) and then my dream will have come true. The best attempt I was involved with used skateboard wheels and wood offcuts salvaged from a skip with two 20 Watt solar panels and managed a few feet before a motor burnt out. It was a very small motor and quite a big person being carried.
