Cao Gadgets introduce Wireless Sensor Tags that let you keep track of everything

Tired of losing your TV remote, car keys or mobile phone? Or perhaps you’re looking for a motion/temperature sensor to monitor your fridge door or to keep tabs on the temperature inside so your cheese doesn’t go bad? Now you can do that and more with Cao Gadgets Wireless Sensor Tags. They can be placed or affixed to just about anything or anywhere, track everything.

The device was designed using a digital 3D magnetometer (like those found in most smartphones) which acts as a motion sensor by monitoring changes in its orientation (down to 1 degree and can be adjusted in areas with increasing amounts of ‘magnetic noise’). The Tag also features a temperature sensor that only alerts you to temperature changes when it encounters set thresholds and uses a pre-programmed algorithm with hysteresis to help save on battery power. The Wireless Sensor Tag works in conjunction with the company’s Ethernet Tag Manager which plugs into your Ethernet router and monitors each Tag (up to a few hundred if needed) wirelessly within a 200ft range. The Tag Manager constantly monitors the sensors and transmits notifications (when the sensors are tripped) to any mobile device running iOS or Android with an included app which can be customized based on your preferences.

The Tags themselves are encased in a thin elastic polymer that affixes to objects by a Velcro strap in any orientation imaginable so you can monitor garage doors, windows or mailboxes (if you’re waiting for packages). If you happen to lose your Tag you can simply ‘ping’ the device, using the sensor app, and it will sound a beep alerting you to its location. The Wireless Sensor Tags are available now for $15 US ($12 US if you purchase 3 or more) and $50 US for the Ethernet Tag Manager (which must be purchased) for those interested.
