I can immediately see military applications for this technology, especially battlefield intel.

I agree. We would see more people bumping to each other due to distractions while wearing this gadget. This also reminds me of the contact lens display that was portrayed in the movie Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol. Engineers will be forced to make that thing real in few months time.

I can see many benefits to integrating information overlays for people in certain jobs. There are many data that are essential for people making decisions with volatile products and processes.

However, I am greatly concerned about the potential "entertainment" distraction for people driving, operating machinery or any activity that requires people to "focus" on the task at hand. I think we have all seen the downside to people trying to phone, text, or web browse while doing normal tasks where distractions could be deadly.

I guess we will have to wait and see what products and safeguards are included.
