I was expecting the usual question of: are you going for apple or android?

In answer to your question: I am looking forward to the new iphone regardless of its new features. I am currentlu using the 4 (not 4s) because I am partially money conscience and find a yearly update a bit too pricey.

I dont think apple has a dominance but they are better positioned then for example android. Especially when you start to integrate features in your life. Considering how I am using my iPhone and iPad (see my blog post http://www.element14.com/community/people/mouch/blog/2012/05/04/engineering-apps-for-a-smooth-workflow ) I do not think I am very likely to switch especially since android has got little to offer because I would have to a) set up everything from scratch and b) buy loads from scratch and then c) work out how they all work together.

I do wonder when the EU or other controlling body pulls a microsoft out of the hat. Remember microsoft was forced to open their OS for use with other browsers? How is the app store as a single entity different?
